Indoors or outdoors… knitwear at centre stage

The Scott and Charters Collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 brings knitwear to the outdoors. Rich and voluminous, the collection has layer upon layer of eye-catching designs, the big story of the season – “layering”.

Shades of bark and leaves, with accents of bright orange and jade green project one of the main colour stories of the season.

The simple pleasures of texture, touch and visual delight are all you need to satisfy the senses. There is an excitement again around knitwear and a simple acknowledgement of how wonderful and flexible it can be – not only in sweaters and jackets but accessories too!

Emphasis has moved from busy patterns to rich giant size stitch patterns, as well as ribs and cables. There is a splashing of quirky jacquards and fairisles for both women and men.

Cashmere and superfine wools remain the zenith. ‘Touch’ is all important to the sensual season ahead.
